Patent application: The company has applied for two patents concerning horse vaccines: The first one (PCT WO 2004/032957 A1, priority date 2002) describes the protection with various compositions of vaccines in which “Trivacc” is included. Patent has been granted in New Zeeland, Australia and is expected to be granted also in EP and US during 2010. The second application (PCT/SE2008/051445, priority date 2007) describes the protective effect in the horse using the vaccine prototypes “Pentavacc” and “Septavacc”.  Both patent applications have been made within the most important markets (EP, US, JP, AUS etc).

To further strengthen the protection of horse vaccines, the company is constantly assessing the possibilities to apply for new patents. A new application will be submitted during 2009. Concerning vaccination against mastitis, the company has an option from another company to utilise the rights to a number of patents.
